COVID-19

In the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic gripping our world today, St. Genevive Healthcare Services stands with our esteemed clients, families, staff, and our community.

We have taken some precautionary measures according to the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) guidelines to ensure our continued services while making the well-being of our clients and staff a top priority during these trying times.

 We are taking the following precautions:

  • Office visits are limited to appointments only
  • You may call any of our office numbers with any questions you may have
  • Our entire staff has been duly trained on infectious disease control and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • To ensure the safety of our staff, we pre-screen our clients upon arrival at each home visit. If there is a report or symptoms related to COVID-19, the client will be required to go to the nearest ER or hospital
  • We conduct risk assessments on our current clients, as well as potential clients
  • Our Direct Support Staff has been directed to use infection control measures, while providing care, including handwashing, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, and PPEs

Five steps to kicking out coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO), in partnership with the governing board of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), has launched an awareness campaign called “Pass the message to kick out coronavirus”.

The campaign comprises of the following steps:

  • Hand washing
  • Coughing etiquette
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Physical distance
  • And staying home if feeling unwell
